About the makers

Philip Revell -woodfire potter based in Dunbar, East Lothian. There is usually a wider selection of pots available directly from my studio showroom, open by arrangement. See more here: Dunbar Pottery.  My Anagama kiln is an ancient design of single chamber kiln, fired with wood over three days. It is left to the flames, reacting with the clay surfaces and depositing fly-ash, to leave their mark and decorate the pot surfaces.

Anna Davis -artist based at West Barns Studios near Dunbar. See more here: Anna Davis Artist  Her work draws on the natural environment in painting, print making and writing. Under the banner 'Inprint Workshop' she delivers workshops at her studio, festivals, schools and community events. She has exhibited her work throughout Scotland.

Ralph Curry -wood turner based in East Linton near Dunbar. He has spent his life working with trees and wood. He turns mostly hardwood and only British species. He favours simple flowing shapes and working with green, unseasoned timber. All his bowls have only had an olive oil treatment, regular applications of which will preserve the wood and enhance the colour.
